Challenge: – Build a flexible and easy-to-manage template with drag-and-drop functionality for each block on any page to speed up and simplify the process of content management. – Each block must have custom design and structure settings to build new pages using pre-built blocks. – Custom purchase flow on mobile devices to increase conversion and to make simpler the process of choice of a guitar. – Fast and simple checkout form with the possibility to pay by Credit Card, Affirm, and PayPal. Build custom filter functionality for the shop page with the ability to change the filter by site management stuff without any coding. – High page speed score 90+.
Solutions: – We used our custom solution for WordPress template building: we used the ACF Pro plugin as a custom fields manager to make the process of management of content as easy as possible. The main idea of the solution is to split the design by sections and integrate these sections into WordPress as independent blocks of the template. After that, the client is able to build new pages using independent blocks by adding them to a specific page. Each block has its own design setting that allows the client to build new unique pages using the same blocks. At the same time, the solution helps the client manage existing pages without any coding. The solution is based on a lightweight ACF Pro plugin and has close functionality to page builders but uses fewer server resources. – Our team has built a set of pre-defined blocks that could be used on different pages but be managed from one single place – The site Setting page. As in the previous solution, it helps to create new pages using pre-defined blocks, but even without any content changes if some of the blocks should have the same content across the site. At the same moment, we added an ability to overwrite any of these blocks on any page to make the template even more flexible. – To integrate the site with 3-rd part DB we’ve built a custom plugin that allows us not to show all reviews only, but to filter them for each specific page or product. – The custom filter feature was built as an independent block too and could be customized for any category or even for any custom set of products on any page. – Our solution for product variations has simplified the flow of purchasing by very close behavior to mobile applications. Also, we added tips for each step to make the process of choosing simple and fast. – The checkout page was integrated with the Bolt Checkout plugin to build a fast and simple checkout flow with all requested payment methods. – We used the AWS environment to run the high-loaded store. – The site was built in a good way and all images were optimized by the Imagify plugin to achieve the A score in GTMetrix.
